Jeanne Hamerly (top picture) loved horses since she was a young girl. One of her happiest times was when she got her first horse. Jeanne has been riding for more than 35 years. Jeanne enjoys not only riding English, but Western and Side-Saddle. She is trained in classical dressage; her instructor is Karen Orloff-Yatsko, developer of Riding Your Horse From the Ground.™ She also participated in a clinic by Georges Malleroni of Portugal. Jeanne worked with Carol O'Donnell Wilson on obtaining her certification as a Centered Riding instructor using principals developed by Centered Riding founder Sally Swift.
Jeanne is an accomplished equine drill team performer and drill master. She performed at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show for eight years and uses these skills for parades and performances.
As a trainer, she incorporates ground work along with riding. This offers the opportunity for the student to get to know the horse while learning to ride with confidence.
A graduate of The Advantassage School of Equine Studies, Jeanne is certified in Equine Massage. This helps her understand the horse's movements and, if a horse is tense, she is able to provide the soothing massage which helps the horse stay calm and the movements smooth.
Whether you are a beginner, more experienced, or returning to riding, Jeanne will help you ride at your best and enjoy being around horses.
Heather Chafin (bottom picture) is an avid rider with 25 plus years of experience. She has ridden in horse shows and in various parades and looks forward to riding in shows and parades in Pahrump and Las Vegas. One of her favorite activities was volunteering with the 4-H at McKee Ranch Foundation in Las Vegas.
Heather is continually increasing her knowledge of the care and training of horses. This includes groundwork as a large part of the training. Increasing her skills as an instructor is a top priority for Heather so that she can offer the best training to her students. She is very interested in Mountain Trail riding and has designed a course for use in teaching trail riding at the Riding Academy. Heather teaches English, Western and Trail Class riding. She is especially effective with the younger and newer riders.
